The Pipe Line Tag Creation dialog opens.

  2. Optional: If Pipe Run option is selected, skip to Step 8.
  3. From the All tab, click in the Tag Number ( Business Key) field for the Pipeline. The pipeline properties will display to the right of the dialog.
  4. Make any desired changes to the tag number, or properties in the appropriate fields at this time.
  5. Next, click in the Tag Number (Business Key) field for the Pipe Run from the All tab. The Pipe Run Tag Number and Properties now display in the dialog.
Note: Whenever you create a new pipeline, you are defining the pipeline process. Therefore, a pipe run is also created and associated with the pipeline, which consists of the actual pipe component.
  6. Make any changes to the pipe run properties in the fields provided.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Pick a point on the first component.
  9. Pick a point on the second component.
  10. Optional: If either point selected requires a direction for the run segment, define the direction by picking a point in the drawing.
The pipe run will be automatically routed between the two points.
  11. Optional: If the Pipe Run option was selected, then the Pipe Run properties dialog displays. Make any necessary changes to the Name and properties then click OK to complete the command.
Note: After the run is routed, you can use standard grip manipulation techniques to move the run if desired.
